BOMA Quebec announces 2024-2025 Board of Directors

BOMA Quebec announces 2024-2025 Board of Directors. Headed by President Christopher Arnaoutelis.

Montreal, Friday 12 April 2024 – Some 100 real estate colleagues met in Montreal on Thursday, April 11 for the annual general meeting of BOMA Quebec. The event was very special and emotional, as it marked the end of the mandate of outgoing president Linda Plante and the retirement of the organization’s executive director Linda Carbone.

"I am honoured to continue my involvement as president of BOMA Quebec, and I thank my colleagues for the trust placed in me today. I begin my mandate on a solid footing, and I would like to pay tribute not only to the work and achievements of my predecessor Linda Plante, but also to the exceptional commitment of our outgoing executive director Linda Carbone. Although my journey as president begins today, the focus this evening is not on me, but on them! Hats off to both these women for their respective achievements," said Christopher Arnaoutelis, president of BOMA Quebec.

"In June 2024 the BOMA Quebec board of Directors and the Chairs of our various committees will meet to discuss annual strategic planning and the long-term vision of the Association, which aims to expand its involvement in different sectors of activity so that more property managers and owners can benefit from our unique expertise. Several steps in that direction will be taken in the coming months, and some exciting announcements will be made very soon," he added.

Christopher has over 30 years of experience in operations & construction in the commercial real estate industry. Over the years, Christopher has worked in property management, construction and development with several real estate firms such as Canderel, Great-West Life, Magil Laurentian and Kevric. Over the previous thirty years’ experience, he has managed national portfolios and has worked on complex construction projects in Battery Park (NYC), Canary Wharf (UK) and Dallas as well as the execution of key capital expenditure projects. He has a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget, while continuously challenging conventional practices. He is responsible for all aspects of operations and construction for the Crofton Moore real estate portfolio. Christopher obtained a BCom from Concordia University.

Touching Tribute to a Leader appreciated by All

This year's event was particularly significant, given that Linda Carbone is retiring as executive director after 35 years of brilliant service at the head of the organization. Linda Carbone has been an outstanding leader of BOMA Quebec. Her vision and political acumen led to the development of winning projects and strategies that enabled the Association to make significant progress. Several colleagues, former presidents and friends were on hand to mark the occasion and to praise her accomplishments. The event concluded with a very moving surprise video featuring touching testimonials from colleagues and associates.

“So many great collaborations and great projects have taken place over the last 35 years. I'm thinking of Visez vert Now BOMA BEST, the Real Estate Energy Challenge, all the BOMEX and all the great events we've had together. It has been a great honor and a great pleasure to work with the 19 presidents who have passed through the course of my career. I bow out with peace of mind, knowing that I am leaving a dynamic organization, in good financial health and in good hands. My sincere thanks to all the partners, collaborators and volunteers who crossed my path. My special thanks to the entire office team; Ninon Beaunoyer, Audrey Pappalardo, Antoine Gérin-Roze, Marion Steineur, Marie Pépin and Matthieu Ménard, who succeeds me as general director. You are extraordinary and I will miss you,” expresses Linda Carbone, outgoing general director.
