BOMA Quebec and the ImmoHEC committee had the opportunity to deepen their relationship through a recent first collaboration. The Association first acted as a partner and panelist during the first edition of the Student Real Estate Forum which took place on January 27.
BOMA Quebec also facilitated the committee's contact with a major company in the commercial real estate sector to develop a case study dealing with real issues facing that firm. The fruit of their labour was then presented to the firm and to members of the ImmoHEC committee.
By using real-life scenarios, members of each ImmoHEC sector can be trained on a concrete basis and be better prepared for their entry into the job market. Other similar studies will take place in the coming months, and will focus on ESG factors and the management of real estate assets.
Note that ImmoHEC is a student committee designed to promote real estate as a career option for students at HEC Montréal. Its mission is to foster the development of its members' skills by offering them training, mentoring and hands-on learning opportunities, including presentations, workshops and site visits to familiarize them with the latest trends and best practices in the real estate industry.
